Committee Member Commitment
As a committee member of the Best Day Ever Foundation, I understand that my role is to support the Foundation's mission by serving with integrity, professionalism, collaboration, and kindness. I agree to fulfill the responsibilities and expectations of my assigned committee, actively participate in meetings and initiatives, complete agreed-upon tasks to the best of my ability, and represent the Foundation in a positive and respectful manner. If I am unable to complete an assignment, meet a deadline, or continue my level of involvement, I will communicate with Foundation leadership as soon as possible, ask for assistance when needed, and work collaboratively to transition responsibilities. I understand that proactive communication is essential to the success of the Foundation and its events.
Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure
During my service, I may have access to confidential information including, but not limited to, donor and sponsor information, beneficiary families, financial information, fundraising strategies, event planning documents, vendor pricing, internal communications, committee discussions, and strategic plans. I agree to maintain the confidentiality of all non-public information, use it only for Foundation purposes, and not disclose, copy, or distribute such information without prior authorization. This obligation remains in effect during and after my committee service.
Conflict of Interest
I agree to act in the best interests of the Best Day Ever Foundation and to avoid any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest. Should a personal, financial, family, or professional relationship influence—or appear to influence—my decisions or recommendations on behalf of the Foundation, I will promptly disclose the situation to Foundation leadership and, when appropriate, remove myself from related discussions or decisions. I further agree not to use my committee position for personal or professional gain.
Communications & Media Authorization
I understand that photographs, video, audio recordings, or other media may be captured during Foundation meetings, volunteer activities, programs, and events. Unless I notify the Foundation otherwise in writing, I grant the Best Day Ever Foundation permission to use my name, likeness, voice, and image for promotional, educational, fundraising, marketing, website, social media, and other Foundation communications without compensation. I also understand that only authorized representatives may speak on behalf of the Foundation or respond to media inquiries.
Acknowledgement
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this Committee Member Agreement and agree to uphold the responsibilities, expectations, confidentiality requirements, conflict of interest policy, and communications guidelines described above. I understand that these standards help protect the integrity of the Best Day Ever Foundation and that failure to comply may result in removal from committee service.
